It seems ironic that after turning down the Beatles they sign up for one single the Pete Best 4.The song he recorded-I'm gonna knock on your door-is one of the tracks here.
However the group called the Beat Boys are NOT the ones Tony Sheridan used-these were from Sheffield and cut just one single.
It could be said that little of this stuff would have been issued by Decca without the Beatles apart from Brian Poole & the Tremeloes who they DID sign.And who finally had a hit single on the strength of the Beatles' Twist & Shout!
