ROOTS was the title of an album issued by Adam VIII in an agreement between Morris Levy the publishers and John Lennon who threatend to sue for plagiarism re the song COME TOGETHER which had used parts of a song by Chuck Berry called YOU CAN'T CATCH ME.
The album was not an official release and was eventually pulled from the air because Lennon was due to release the album as ROCK'N'ROLL with a different sleeve.
And then came this unofficial CD release
