This is Brock & the Sultans who sound like session musicians and like a lot of the early Beatles novelties the music is in the style of frat rock or even high school pop.Where only the lyrics have chanhed.
Many did instrumentals in the classic tradition and it wasn't till around 1965 that bands had fully embraced British Invasion sounds.The first signs of it were the Autumn label who signed the Beau Brummels
But when America began to seriously copy the Beatles rather than exploit them they did it better than us
