A 24 tracker which includes most of the songs recorded by the Pete Best 4 and eventually put out on an album called Best of the Beatles-a provocative title in itself but perfectly legal seeing as it was his name-quite clever really as the sleeve showed the Beatles with Best as a member!
The group recorded for an Indie label called Mr Maestro and later one single for Cameo-which is not included here.
There was nothing remotely resembling a hit yet as British Invasion music the songs were probably as good as any outside of the Beatles-16 of the songs were written by Bickerton & Waddington who had been in the Remo 4 and would find success in the next decade by writing for the Rubettes
