The brute force of Apple

Today you can buy a Cherry Red CD by Brute Force, the non de plume of songwriter Stephen Friedland who was contracted to Laurie Records the label which the Chiffons recorded for.He wrote the song "Nobody knows what's going on in my mind but me" which saw the girl group go psychedelic!
While the Chiffons would never have cut a song with words like "He's the King of Fuh he's the Fuh King" the demo was sent to Apple, the Beatles label distributed by EMI-and George Harrison saw the humor in it,promising to issue it on Apple.
However EMI had other ideas to do with censoring and Friedland ended up as some sort of stand up comedian who has his own website.
There would be more trouble for Harrison coming from Laurie Records which is another story connected with "My sweet Lord"
