The first Epstein failure

Although Tommy Quickley charted the top 30 with "Wild side of life" and appeared in the Stets on Shindig-to say nothing of Beatles concerts in the UK-he was really his own worst enemy with drink and drugs causing his downfall.
In 1963 he was the recipient of a Lennon/McCartney song "Tip of my tongue" which has been named as the worst ever one from the Beatles and one they never apparantly never demoed.
However I rate this song as being superb-listen again and you can hear shades of "I want to hold your hand" in it.
Quickly was meant to cover another Beatles song "No reply" but the session was abandoned as he couldn't get it right
