McCartney the producer


The Beatles' Apple label got off to a flying start with Those were the days-a song heard by McCartney when he went to see a folk singer called Gene Raskin in a London club and whose name appears in the credits as the writer though it came in the first place from a Russian folk song.
The album which followed showed McCartney's love of the Great American Songbook
