
After a Beatles compilation was issued called simply 1 it led to actual covers of its songs in the same order.
The collection of 27 No 1 hits was flawed to some extent by including B sides if the disc had been named with both sides but more importantly the first No 1 in the U K was missed off because even though it was a chart topper on 3 charts of the day the one they used was the Guiness Book which based its findings on what was no more than a trade paper.
Music business politics thus kept the Beatles from being able to claim 28 No 1s if these same chart compilers really had to say Come together was a No 1 when it was the B side of Something!
