In the late 70s the new band from Liverpool was the Teardrop Explodes who launched the Second Coming of Liverpool with their take on psychedelic music.
Thus the 80s were as much about reviving the 60s and probably the last decade to do it in a big way.
Danielle Dax was a cult artist of sorts who cut a version of Tomorrow Never Knows
