
New Yorker DAVID PEEL first met John Lennon in 1973 before the album Sometime in New York City being introduced by Yoko.
A previous Elektra recording artist whose music was close to skiffle
Peel and his group the Lower East Side were street musicians and played free concerts some of which was captured on the Lennon produced album The Pope Smokes Dope.
Since then Peel cut 2 albums of Beatle tributes for his own label Orange and has strong web presence having been a co founder of GEMM
