Whether there was any attempt to make Jimmy Nicol a star in America he was a member of the Beatles during mid 1964 and the Holland tour as an ailing Ringo was in hospital with tonsilitis.
On his return the drummer who'd once appeared on a Beatles covers album called BEATLEMANIA cut a number of tracks for Pye as Jimmy Nicol & the Shubdubs.
However for reasons never really known Nicol was declared bankrupt in 1965 and is today a recluse
