
Kenny Lynch,a London born black singer known in the States because of the song "You can never stop me loving you" as covered by Johnny Tillotson,was one of the names added to the Helen Shapiro tour in 1963.She was given the chance to cover "Misery" which was on the debut album but declined as it wasn't quite the image she'd projected in her hits.At least that's what we've been told but Kenny Lynch offered to take it as the follow up to his hit cover of Up on the roof.Though it never charted its the first cover
