Dick James,an ex band singer who had a hit single with "Robin Hood" and a U S one "You can't be true dear" was an unsuccesful publisher at the time of the 2nd Beatles single.
Known to George Martin he agreed to take the publishing starting with "Please please me" and had more or less fallen on his feet from then.
After the Beatles disbanded in 1970 came Elton John and the DJM label.
James' final single was a 2 sided Beatles novelty called "Sing a song of Beatles"
